Quality Control

When customers feel that they can count on the consistent quality of your products, they are more likely to give you their repeat business. Consistent quality takes hard work, attention to detail and systems in place for monitoring and assessing whether your products meet the standards you have set. Quality control is an ongoing process that touches everything from purchasing to manufacturing to distribution.

Quality control is an essential piece to any business when the goal is to produce high quality products that meet customer expectations. When your products do what they’re supposed to do, taste the way they’re supposed to taste and work the same way over time, you earn repeat business. This is probably one of the main goals for any company, which is why having a solid quality control system in place is so important.

One of the most common questions we receive from our customers is “What is available for Quality Control?” Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is an excellent ERP system for small and medium sized businesses, but it does not provide any type of Quality Control component.

After researching and looking into several different products that were on the market, we found that the Quality Control add-on from Cost Control Software was the best available. Cost Control Software’s Quality Control solution provides an easy and straightforward way to test material during various stages within an operation, such as receiving, shipping or production output. It also gives you the ability to perform in-process testing within your manufacturing process. The add-on is built directly in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central which provides a seamless user experience for the cloud as well as on-premise installations.

Some of the reasons that we have implemented Cost Control Software’s Quality solution so frequently is because customers appreciate the following features:

  • Simple and straightforward, a complete end-to-end solution
  • Define Quality Specifications and assign them to items and processes in order to automatically block a serial or lot number and trigger creation of a Quality Test
  • Quality Test is used to track the testing progress and success of a serial or lot number. Add comments, link attachments or import images during the testing process
  • In-process testing based on a Quality Specification assigned to an operation within a routing
  • Extension of item tracing with a Quality Test, if a particular serial or lot number has been tested, the Quality Test will be displayed on the item tracing page
  • Better visibility and tracking of tests and their source documents across the system
  • Ability to define Quality Requirements by item, variant and location

If you do not currently have a quality control system in place or feel like the one you do have is not working effectively then Cost Control Software’s solution may be the right fit for you. Contact us to set up a call where we can review your requirements and show you a demo of the software.
